On 12 October, 2019 new regulations came into effect.  Every natural person who purchases a lower emission car will receive a compensation allowance of 1000 Euros.

During today’s meeting, which involved the leaders as well as the representatives of the workers of the Ministry of the Environment, a new strategy, values and vision of the ministry have been established.

On the 27th of April the Lithuanian Government approved the National Air Pollution Control Plan. Lithuania and other EU member states were assigned to prepare and implement this strategic document in order to achieve pollution reduction commitments for 2030.

On the 9th of April the Member of Seimas Kęstutis Mažeika took the oath and became the environment minister.
