Aira Paliukėnaitė

Viceminister of the Environment

 

Aira Paliukėnaitė is an expert in sustainable development and public policy. She also served as Vice-Minister of Environment under the previous Government.

Before becoming Vice-Minister, she worked at Invest Lithuania, the Office of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Create Lithuania programme, and completed a traineeship at the European Commission.

A. Paliukėnaitė holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Maastricht University and the United Nations University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Vilnius University. During her studies, she also gained academic experience in Belgium and Jordan.

As Vice-Minister, she is responsible for nature conservation policy, climate policy, and EU and international relations.
