Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament's Committee on Environmental Protection visits the Ministry of Environment
On 30 November 2023, concluding his visit to the Republic of Lithuania, Oleg Bondarenko, Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, accepted an invitation from Simon Gentvilas, the Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, to visit the Ministry of the Environment. During this visit, he met with the Ministry's staff.
The Ministry's staff presented a symbolic gift to the Chairman and the members of the Parliamentary Committee—a Lithuanian flag adorned with the following written wishes: "Be strong!" "You are resilient and courageous!" "We are with you in these difficult times!"
The guest expressed his support for the Ukrainian people's bravery in their resistance against Russian aggression and wished them continued success in implementing environmental legislative initiatives.
The representatives of Ukraine were extended an invitation to revisit Lithuania, and discussions centered around the possibilities of further cooperation and the exchange of best practices.
The Ukrainian delegation actively participated in the Ukrainian Green Recovery and Restoration Conference organized by the European Commission, held this week in Vilnius.
