Discover the potential of the European Urban Initiative: remote event for Lithuanian cities

The Urban Contact Centre in Lithuania invites you to a virtual information event on the European Urban Initiative (EUI) and its opportunities, taking place on 3 September.

This event is designed for municipal representatives, researchers, consultants, planners, designers, and anyone interested in urban development and the EU's international initiatives.

The agenda will cover European urban policy and its development, strategies for sustainable urban growth, their implementation, and available guidance on these strategies and other international initiatives. Attendees will also receive details about the conditions for the EUI’s innovative project calls, with a presentation of a successful project from Tallinn as a practical case study.

The European Urban Initiative (EUI) is an EU programme that supports cities of all sizes by building capacity, encouraging innovation, and developing scalable solutions across EU cities. The EUI offers financial support to city authorities, covering up to 80% of project costs, enabling cities to test new ideas. Additionally, the EUI enhances cities' capacity to design inclusive and integrated sustainable urban development strategies, policies, and practices, while facilitating access to and sharing knowledge on urban development themes. The programme is funded under the EU Cohesion Policy for 2021-2027.

The online event will be held on 3 September from 13:00-17:00. You can register for the event here.

The Urban Contact Point is located at the Ministry of Environment. For further details, please visit the EUI website or contact [email protected] or [email protected].
