The Ministry of Environment is shortening the procedure for recognizing the professional qualifications of architects and civil engineers for Ukrainians who have fled the war zone and are looking for employment possibilities in Lithuania.
The whole process is expected to take up to 1 month. A more flexible procedure will be applied, minimizing formalities: only the standard documents will be required, and the applicant will be able to verify the authenticity of these documents without the need for a notary or the relevant authorities’ verification. Only the translation of the most necessary documents (diploma or other proof of the professional experience and/or qualification of an architect or civil engineer) into Lithuanian will have to be submitted.
If a Ukrainian citizen does not have a diploma of an architect or civil engineer or another document proving the professional qualification, the Ministry of Environment would examine other information provided by the applicant or other institutions on education, architectural and engineering activities.
