Minister of Environment presents her political team
Minister of Environment Ieva Andriulaitytė has formed her political team. This week, Asta Rokickienė and Giedrė Ričkutė took up their positions as Vice-Ministers, while Vladislav Kondratovič was appointed Chancellor of the Ministry. Aira Paliukėnaitė has served as Vice-Minister since last week.
“The new Vice-Ministers have worked at the Ministry of Environment for many years and have an excellent understanding of their respective policy areas. Their professional expertise and experience will contribute to decisions that respond to people’s needs while safeguarding the environment,” said Minister of Environment Ieva Andriulaitytė.
Vice-Minister Asta Rokickienė will oversee construction and spatial planning. Prior to her appointment, she headed the Architecture and Construction Policy Group at the Ministry of Environment, where she has worked since 2018. Before joining the Ministry, she served as Chief Architect of Švenčionys District Municipality. Asta Rokickienė graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts with a degree in architecture.
Vice-Minister Giedrė Ričkutė will be responsible for environmental protection and pollution prevention, strategic environmental assessment, environmental monitoring, state environmental control and waste management. She holds a degree in law from Mykolas Romeris University and previously served as Vice-Minister of Environment in 2024. Giedrė Ričkutė has also served as Chancellor of the National Land Service, Acting Director of the institution and Head of the Legal and Personnel Division at the Ministry of Environment.
Vice-Minister Aira Paliukėnaitė will oversee nature conservation policy, climate policy, EU affairs and international cooperation. She held the same position under the previous Government. Before joining the Ministry, she worked at Invest Lithuania, the Office of the Seimas, the Create Lithuania programme and the European Commission. Aira Paliukėnaitė holds a master’s degree in public policy from Maastricht University and the United Nations University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in political science from Vilnius University.
Chancellor of the Ministry Vladislav Kondratovič previously served as Minister of the Interior. He has also headed the Administration of Vilnius District Municipality, served as Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications and held positions on the boards of Lietuvos paštas, Vilniaus viešasis transportas and Lietuvos geležinkeliai. He completed studies in engineering sciences, management and business administration at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
Ramunė Muzikevičiūtė-Narmontienė has joined the Minister’s team as Adviser for Communication. She previously worked as communications adviser to Member of the Seimas Rūta Miliūtė. She has also served as spokesperson for Speaker of the Seimas Saulius Skvernelis, worked in the Communication and Operations Division of the Research Council of Lithuania and lectured at Vilnius University.
